Ohio Magazine recently named the city one of Ohio's Best Hometowns for 2010!

Sylvania, which combines both the city and township, is one of the larger communities in Ohio.  It is a combined population in the mid 40,000. 

One of the quality assets is the Sylvania School System.  In November of 2008, the community passed $79,000,000 levy. The usage of that money includes both replacing three of the schools and strengthening other elements of the school system.

The park system winds throughout NW Ohio with Sylvania being an integral part of the County system.  Pacestter Park is an outstanding recreational park.  The parks have extensive paths in Sylvania for walking, jogging and cycling.

Sylvania is the host for the Jamie Farr regular tour event for the LPGA.   It returns thousands of dollars to needy causes in our area.

Lourdes College is a private coeducational commuter college housed on 94 acre site.

Downtown Sylvania continues to provide a more enjoyable gathering location with aesthetic additions, our only motel, and different site usages being accomplished.  Flower Hospital is in the outskirts of this nucleus.
